Almost every week there's been a tragedy that hits home to many of us.
Religious leaders had enough, and are calling on the community to participate in 40 days of prayer and good service.
Everyday at noon until July 14, religious leaders ask the community to stop what they're doing and pray powerfully to end the violence in our nation.
They say you can pray anywhere you want, it doesn't have to be a church.
This is organized by Bishop Angel Nuñez, of the Bilingual Christian Church in Southeast Baltimore.
He and his colleagues from ACT Now Baltimore, and the Multicultural Prayer Movement, invited more than 500 churches across the country to participate in 40 days of prayer.
